This site is a place for views and news on the India Manufacturing Industry. My core interest lies in manufacturing for the automotive sector where I spend most of time as an industry supplier. However, the automobile industry is an agglomeration of several other industries which have applications and interests in several other areas hence my comments in aerospace, electronics and the defence industries.

If some have noticed, my blogging has been on pause for the past few months. I had decided to take a break from blogging in light of travel commitments. Some of my time was spent visiting some parts of the USA and Germany and I came away with an appreciation for the maturity of developed markets. Some of the ideas from the trip haven’t yet crystallized into written form but hopefully a few posts will be made soon on the nature of industries in those countries.
I have realized that there is a tremendous amount of interest on the MSMED Act (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006). Interest in SME business is very large and I am considering allocating some time to address many of the questions/comments that have come on there. Once again thanks for your interest and comments to all who have taken part in that discussion.
